| Notes for Valerie Louise GOODING | ||||||||
| Born August the 7th, 1880, at Yinnar. She moved with her parents to Tanjil South in 1889. Valerie was the first daughter born to William and Marie Gooding. She attended the Tanjil South School and after leaving school, she remained at home helping her parents, until the age of eighteen, when she married Francis Lawardorn, son of Frank Lawardorn from a neighbouring farm. Valerie and Francis moved to Oueenstown Tasmania when they were first married, and here their first daughter Olive was born. They later moved to Frankston, Victoria. Shortly before the birth of Valerie's second child, her husband Francis, died. In 1904 a son was born to Valerie, and she named him Francis, after her late husband. After his birth she moved back to her parental home bringing her children. They attended the Tanjil South School when they grew older. Valerie later married Robert Stewart and made her home at Yinnar. Three more children, Ruby, Daisy and Raymond were born to her second marriage. Valerie died at Morwell aged 64 years on the 13/7/1945, and lies buried at the Hazelwood cemetery. 1 | ||||||||
