CROWN LAND SALE.
Tho Government sale of Crown lauds, held
yesterday, was well attended. For the sub-
urbun and town allotments competition
was tolerably brisk. Of the country lands
offered several lots were passed without
a bidding being made, and, with but
one exception, the lots disposed of were
knocked down at the upset prices. The
sale realized the sum of £1,46511s. 61.
for 6881/2 acres alienated from the Crown,
of which 648 acres were country lands,
twenty acres town allotments, ond twenty
and a half acres suburban lots. Tho particul-
lars of tho lots disposed of are as follow :

The rust .(the West Bourke Guardian re-
ports) is spreading in the Wyndham district
Several farmers have cut down their wheat
crops for hay, and others have sold the stand-
ing crop to their neighbours at a price per
acre. Mr. Thomas Rice, of Wyndham, dis-
posed of his wheat crop at £2 per acre. Rust
has made its appearance on several farms
along the Werribee In the Wyndham shire.
